Contracts Administrator

IMMEDIATE NEED: for a Field Contract Specialist with 4+ years Construction Contract Administration. Experience in the oil & gas pipeline sector a plus. You will work for a leading owner/operator of pipelines throughout the US on a 1 year contract assignment at their office in Eastern Michigan area with the potential for extension. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Day to day construction contract administration which includes providing management with information regarding legal and/or technical difficulties of the contract
- Build and maintain good working relationships with construction contractors and project team to facilitate communications, reporting and approvals.
- Responsible for Change Order/Directives, Insursnce Management, Contract close-out, Communication/Documentation Management
- Interface with Project team, including CM, Field Engineer, Inspectors, Safety coordinators, and field administration to provide support as needed

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or Construction Management. Certificate in Engineering Technology, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of contract administration experience, PLUS: Oil & Gas, Petro-chemical construction
- Intermediate to advanced experience in cost control including craft labour, construction materials and equipment control and intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office software
- Working knowledge of planning & scheduling work processes related to construction project controls
