Contract Web/iOS Front End Developer - CBD Based

Contract Web/iOS Front End Developer required for a Leading Australian Research & Development firm specialising in IT Security firm. This is a 6 month plus contract based in the Sydney CBD office.

ON A DAILY BASIS YOUR ROLE WILL SEE YOU:

- Be responsible for creating attractive web application and portal designs in either iOS or Android that effectively communicate to the customer key messages, and drive them logically through each Business Process.
- Develop a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application design requirements.
- Need to ensure best practice in regards to design, usability & web standards.
- Communicate technical design specifications in a clear and concise manner to the wider business.
- Pro-actively recommend best practice UX design and take up within the business.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

- Good Front End development experience (.Net/Web forms/Javascript/AJAX/JQuery etc.)
- Knowledge of Web Application development including responsive design, jquery mobile etc.
- Either iOS/Android Application development experience is essential
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design
- Good understanding of SOA
- Ability to work under pressure and tight time-frames
- Solid experience in a large and complex commercial environment essential
- Solid understanding of SDLC, and experience working with Agile methodologies
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Australian, New Zealand, American, Canadian or British citizenship is essential to secure this outstanding contract role.

In return my client offers an excellent daily rate. There is the strong possibility that the role will be extended for a further 6 months
