Contract Specialist

On behalf of Hyphens utilities client, I am looking to recruit a Contract Specialist to be based in Warwickshire for an initial 4 months.

Key Tasks:
*Clarify contract terms and ensure contractors are fully familiar with requirements and standards
*Monitor contractor's work against budgets, timelines and standards
*Maintain effective working relationships with contractors and ensure good communication, issue resolution and operational dialogue.
*Ensure reports on costs, issues, and timelines are produced.
*Ensure performance issues are raised with contractors and resolved
*Carry out reviews in conjunction with others as required on a regular basis
*Monitor costs against budget and ensure potential overruns are identified and corrective action taken.
*Ensure complaints are effectively and efficiently managed to resolution.
*Ensure assurance issues raised by Assurance teams are addressed and resolved with contractors
*Monitor contractor SHES performance and ensure contractors deliver the highest levels of safety against targets, frameworks, standards and best practice.
*Support incident management and ensure that performance issues are addressed in line with seriousness and in line with escalation procedures

Experience Required:
*Managing a varied range of contractors and suppliers with strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
*This experience will be from a relevant engineering/construction environment.

*Able to understand business policies and procedures as they impact on the job role and business activity
*Able to seek, evaluate and use information from a variety of sources to improve personal, team and business performance
