Contract Senior Trade Compliance Specialist

Projektbeschreibung
We have an excellent contract with a global IT player for 12 months based in Dublin.
We are looking to speak to candidates with 5+ years' Customs and/or Trade Compliance experience, preferably in a large global organisation. The ideal candidate will have spent the bulk of their career focusing on the EU/US. We are looking to speak to candidates who are very comfortable managing compliance rules at the EMEA level and expert in EU/US trade rules and compliance. In terms of background you are going to be comfortable establishing compliance processes, validating and confirming harmonised system tariff classifications under both EU and US codes, familiar dealing with an extended supply chain as well as engaging with partners and vendors to ensure a successful outcome
EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone with the experience, skills and aptitude to deliver the following across the three key areas of responsibility of the role
CUSTOMS:
Establish Customs compliance processes internally and externally for import and export
Experience in HS classifications
Preparation and submission of formal rulings/requests to various EU Customs authorities, such as BTI's, simplified EUR1/ATR's etc
Implementation of pre-approved origin documents with various EU chambers of commerce
Responding to compliance queries from customers, distributors, logistics, credit services, tax and the wider finance teams
Set up and implementation of AEO for sites in Ireland, Holland, Finland, and Czech Republic
EU/US EXPORT CONTROLS
Carry out day to day screening against EU/US export control regulations
Establish relevant internal work instructions to support day to day process
Establish procedures to support EU/US reporting requirements
MISCELLANEOUS
Understanding documentary requirements surrounding Letters of Credit
Requirements:
Knowledge of EU Customs Code
HS classification knowledge
Experience of BTI applications to Irish and Dutch Customs authorities
Highly analytical with ability to analyse large volumes of data to build monthly reporting statistics/
metrics
Understanding of EU VAT rules
EDUCATION
Our client's preference is for degree educated compliance professionals with extensive experience in Tarde Compliance. Further certifications in Supply Chain, Tax or Compliance would be a distinct benefit.
