Contract, Senior Drilling Engineer, Aberdeen

I am looking for a contract Senior Drilling Engineer on behalf of an operator in Aberdeen, the role will require Monday- Friday responsibilities with gd day rates on offer. The purpose of the role is design, plan, programme and support the offshore operations during the drilling and workover of wells. I have telephone interview slots for this coming Friday and Monday & Wednesday of next week. Accountabilities and Responsibilities: * Appraise conceptual designs from a technical and a cost perspective to select and define final specification * Produce conceptual drilling and associated work designs, developing the design criteria set out by subsurface prospect data sheets * Liaise with key departments including subsurface, production, completions, well services, subsea, contracts and the Duty Holder to ensure alignment of expectations with regard to well delivery * Write the drilling Basis of Design and engage Peer Review / Assist for each work programme * Assist with onshore management of drilling operations, supporting the offshore team during programme execution * And more: Required experience * Proven track record in drilling and associated designs and execution * Good data management skills and literacy in computer software (experience in the use of drilling software e.g. Sysdrill and P1 Cost Modelling, Wellplan, Compass etc). * Well Integrity experience * Project management expertise * Self motivated with a 'can do' attitude * Commercial acumen and the ability to appreciate the 'bigger picture' * Team player, sharing ideas with other team members. * Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills, with tact and diplomacy to deal across different levels and comfortable liaising at management level and on the platform If this role is of interest, please send me your latest CV.
