Contract Quality Engineer - Aviation/Belgium

My client is seeking an experience Product Quality Assurance Consultant for a 6 month+ Contract to be based in Brussels

The client is a leading supplier of design and manufacture of high lift structures, complex mechanical assemblies and major functional components for Aerospace industry.

Manage quality activities to guarantee deployment of production quality strategy.

1.Product quality
Control, assess, evaluate and monitor the process and product quality in the production process in order to satisfy customer requirements.

2.Continuous improvement of OU product quality
Participate or lead area quality clinic in order to continuously improve quality performance within the production process

3.Continuous improvement of OU processes
Organize or support OU continuous improvement activities in order to participate to OU development.

4.Support the introduction of new products or process
Support and validate the launch of new parts from FAI and/or new processes, as well as changes to parts and/or processes in order to minimize risk of non-conformities serial production.

5.Maintain OU quality performance indicators
Update and evaluate quality KPI within the operating unit or production area in order to ensure proper reporting to the management.

6.Coaching of OU personnel -
Organize coaching and training sessions of production and other operations related personnel in order to ensure the respect of quality procedure.

Education: Industrial or Civil engineer or similar by experience

Languages: English and French and/or Dutch

Skills/Experience:
- Min. 2 years experiences experience in industrial manufacturing in an (international is a plus) mechanical company is a must;
- Previous experience in a similar quality function
- Thorough technical knowledge and interest, both product knowledge and process knowledge
- Well-developed analytical skills
