Contract Quality Engineer

Responsibilities: Manage, ensure and optimise the smooth running (organization, budget, skills) of quality related functions (development, suppliers, production) applicable to Quality department within the framework of the internal rules and in conformity with the quality manual Represent the customer and is the key contact in regards to quality issues Organise with team the deployment of the document system and management of continuous improvement of every process, by giving support (deployment and improvement management) to the operational leaders or teams applicable Must ensure that Quality system in place is applied Must take part in system audits (external and internal) and lead the resulting actions plans if required Must contribute towards the continuous improvement of plant's performance by reviewing progress and efficiency of improvement plans Must manage and distribute Quality reports (collate results, excesses, anomalies, risks and associated actions plans) in accordance with rules defined Professional abilities: -Analytical and concise, autonomous, insightful, rigorous, persistent, leadership and management skills, integrity, persuasive, good communication skills (written and verbal) -Good communication skills, leadership and management skills, good understanding of customer/supplier relations, ability to motivate and lead a team -IT literate (Word, Excel, Access ?) -Languages - Must be fluent in English and in French Technical knowledge: -Perfect command of Quality and Statistics tools such FMEA, failure trees, design of -experiment, SPC, audit, problem solving methods -Perfect knowledge of the Quality Management Standards (ISO TS16949, QS 9000 etc.) -Knowledge of customers' approach regarding "Supplier Quality Control" Please note that we are also interested in speaking to Junior Quality Engineers.
