Outsourcing Manager- Basel
Duration: 6 months
Rate: 800 - 1000 CHF
Location: Basel, Switzerland
I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Outsourcing Manager for one of the world's leading Pharmaceutical companies providing solutions for addressing the evolving needs of patients worldwide.
Role
He/she will direct the contracting and outsourcing activities at study/program level for OGD/GMA and OTM ensuring adherence to established policies and minimizing risk to client.
This is a fun and friendly environment where the successful candidate will be reporting to the Global or Local Head of Oncology Outsourcing Management
Key functions
- Ensuring the selected external service provider is compliant with vendor due diligence processes
- Clearly defining the work specifications, development of communication, performance and issue escalation plans with the clinical team
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions and budgets storing it in established tracking systems and shared devices
- Working in collaboration with partner functions to minimize regulatory, legal and financial risks thereafter documented and archived
- Ensuring vendors are delivering to contract milestones and quality standards, and resolving issues
- Identify new training needs and delivery to customers and lead process improvement initiatives
- Assist or lead new savings methodology and productivity
- Identify and contribute to new savings/productivity projects and savings methodology
Skills/Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Drug Development in a similar industry
- Experience in vendor management with specific experience in outsourcing, contracting, proposal and business development
- Thorough understanding of clinical development and the management of clinical trials
- CRO/Central Labs/Specialty Provider marketplace knowledge
- Understanding of pricing and contracting models
- Experience with finance, budgets and cost reductions
- Excellent understanding of contracts including terms and conditions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a similar field or commercial diploma
