LEAD ORACLE DBA REQUIRED FOR 6 MONTH CONTRACT WITH FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY ON SOUTHSIDE OF DUBLIN. EXCELLENT DAILY RATE AVAILABLE, IMMEDIATE START.
Working with the latest technologies this role will involve providing production and development support, managing overall Database accessand installing and configuring new databases based on best practices.
The Job:
- Perform day to day database administration on existing databases including implementing patches and upgrades as needed
- Work with development team in optimizing SQLs
- Participate as a member of the engineering teams for database-related tasks
- Develop, test, and implement the appropriate backup procedures
- Design, test and implement Oracle high availability solutions
- Maintain effective database performance monitoring procedures
- Perform database tuning for optimal performance to meet Business SLAs
- Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain database security
- Allocate storage and develop plans for future storage requirements
- Maintain documentation of systems and standard operating policies and procedures
- Resolve development and QA database requests
Have you:
- Core Oracle Database Administration (11G )
- O/S (AIX)
- Scripting and Programming
- Performance Tuning
- Backup and Recovery
- High Availability and DR
- Oracle Database Features (Oracle Streams, Scheduler, Advanced Queuing, Partitioning)
- Monitoring Tools
- Database Storage
- Clustering Technology
- Database Security (Encryption, Auditing and Authentication)
- Strong Problem Solving Skills and attention to detail.
- Contribution to and Maintenance of Team Knowledge Base
