Contract Medical Design Engineer

Contract Mechanical Design Engineer Dorset 6 Months Huxley Associates are currently looking for an Experience Mechanical Design Engineer for an initial 6 Month contract in the Dorset area. The Role will involve: * Designing plastic enclosures, sheet metal fabrications and structural systems in Solidworks 3D CAD system. * Produce 2D Engineering drawings as per current company drawing office standards. * Work closely with the manufacturing team to create the final product. * Monitor the design for potential improvements and manufacturability constraints. * Liaise with vendors and outside suppliers on component design and specification as required. Essential Requirements * Minimum 3 years experience of using Solidworks 3D software. * Minimum 5 years experience of product design - (Ideally Medical Device) * Own Solidworks licence - Ideally Solidworks 2013. * Previous experience of mechanism design. This project is an important longterm project for the company which will involved a wide range of interesting tasks.
