Contract Manager

My client, a large public sector organisation, is currently looking for a contract manager to join their team in Preston for an initial 5 month contract. There is the possibility for an 8 month extension following this.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Managing supplier relationships, adherence to KPIs and continually assessing quality of service and/or product to ensure effective, value for money delivery from the supply chain;
- Negotiating contracts and managing tenders;
- Holding supplier forums to proactively engage the network and keep up to date with developments in the industry;
- Preparing monthly reports and working closely with internal and/or external stakeholders to evaluate customer needs

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Managing service or contracts provided through third Party Providers.
- Managing contracts of similar value (£750m- £900m) and complex/dynamic Payment by Results contracts

The role will include travel to Belfast, so all applicants must be flexible to travel when required.
