Contract Manager

My client a leading energy provider in the UK currently has an opportunity for a Contract Manager. The successful applicant will manage post contract management activity for 2/3 large commercial arrangements and will support the development of the future strategy relating to those commercial areas.

Responsibilities:

- Working closely with Supply Chain to ensure company strategy is fully deployed within current commercial arrangements
- Providing support to internal customers in relation to the management and control of the commercial agreements
- Audit and challenge commercial arrangements where appropriate, ensuring value is obtained
- Monitoring contractor performance, identifying the issues and owning the mitigating activities
- Develop, implement and drive a continuous improvement programme

The Person:

- As a minimum, applicants will have a degree and professional qualification such as CIPS
- Evidence of influencing change within a complex stakeholder environment
- Knowledge of supply chain and finance management processes and systems
- Interpersonal skills are key along with the ability to negotiate effectively with both internal customers and external organisations in order to build resilient relationships
- Previous experience in relevant commercial management dealing with large contracts would be an advantage
