An excellent opportunity has arisen to work as a Contract Manager for a market leading Utilities company based in their prestigious location in Warwick.

Job Title: Contracts Manager (Commercial background)
Duration:12 months
Location: Warwick
Rates: Competitive

Job Purpose:
The role is to look after an existing property contract that is in place and manage the link between the service provider and the client to ensure that cost savings are met and the contractual terms adhered to. The successful candidate will understand the commerciality of the contract and have a good balance of both commercial and engineering skills. A good understanding of the safety issues and their implications on operational activities is also required.

Essential Skills:
*Strong commercial approach and experience of contract management

*Engineering background - mechanical or technical

*An even split between the Engineering experience and the commercial side must be evident

*Capable of an approach to work that can co-ordinate and manage numerous different projects and people.

*Good knowledge and understanding of the subject matter and understanding of the commerciality of the contract

*Previous relevant experience so that the pitfalls are known and understood

*The ability to make change happen, energy and drive to succeed

*Ability to identify improvements as necessary to both contract terms and processes

*Strong proven communicator who works well in both a corporate and engineering environment

Accountabilities:

*Pro active lead role in the specification, performance and financial management of all hard or soft service contracts being utilised across the Corporate portfolio.

*Demonstrating commercial acumen when working with the Corporate Property Managers, Customer Managers, Supply Chain Management lead buyers and others to ensure contracts are delivered and perform consistently throughout the portfolio.

*Changes to scope or delivery fully explored and managed.

*Recording of key contract data and assets associated with the services will be provided through the use of a database or IS system.

*Compilation and production of contract management information and KPI's.

*Coordinate all Property SHES compliance and ensure awareness of all SHES policy and procedures is communicated and compliance monitored and reported.
