Contract Manager

Hyphen have an excellent opportunity to work for a large Utilities client of ours near Nottingham as a Contracts Manager for 6 months

The successful candidate will have Metering experience as well as recent Utilities experience in addition to strong Stakeholder management

Duties:

- Liaise with both internal and external Stakeholders
- Look after existing Service Provider Contracts within Metering/Utilities discipline
- Implementing governance and writing contract variations, monitor against SLA's
- Look after Contracts full life cycle, procurement
- Manage all contract related activities
- Monitoring and liaison with operational staff to ensure excellent operational performance
- Liaison with commercial performance & validation teams for performance reporting, budgetary analysis and forecasting.
- Ensure adherence to Contractor Safety and Engagement policies
- Identify service improvements and initiatives to increase the value of Third Party contracts.
- Liaising with Partners to review performance against contract requirements
- Support the development and delivery of the business strategy and plans
- Work with internal business partners, ensuring all relationships are strengthened and developed
- Ensure all key targets with regards to operational contract performance are met.
- Review monthly reporting and commentary showing performance actual against target and detailing improvement plans/initiatives agreed.
- Highlight any risks leading to underperformance of contracts, partners.
- Work with Business Partners to ensure effective complaint management, continuous service improvement, leading to the delivery of excellent customer service.
- Ensuring the team has a proactive approach to relationship management ensuring that we are visible to our business partners, enabling a quick response to our customers' needs.
- Negotiation of commercially and legally acceptable contracts. Ensuring that all contractual terms meet with legal, regulatory and commercial requirements and provide the best value for the business.
- Liaise with Procurement to ensure compliance with EU procurement legislation.

Essential Skills:

- Strong, recent Metering experience
- Solid Utilities experience
- Strong Stakeholder management and ability to communicate with internal and external Stakeholders alike
- Contracts Management experience to cover full life cycle - ie, writing contracts, monitoring against SLAs, problem resolution etc.
- Demonstrate contract management experience
- Knowledge of the Electricity and Gas markets.
- Strong negotiations skills
- Effective communication skills at all levels within the business.
- Excellent customer care skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- PC literate
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Be able to work under own initiative and prioritise their workload
- Ability to deliver to required timescales.
- Be a strong team player
