Contract Java Role - the Hague, Netherlands

I am looking for an IT professional to work on one of the largest projects in Europe. A Java developer will be working on a project to unify various databases over the course of 1 year so all the relevant information can be accessed through one central database.

The consultant will perform the following tasks/services in relation to the solution:

- Taking the lead in the analysis, design and actual development (programming) of the applications, including prototyping, based on the existing solution/application requirements and high level technical architecture, using amongst others JEE, TC-Server, A-MQ and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Implementing unit tests for the developed components
- Contributing to the improvement of the development of the applications and build process.

Requirements:

- Minimum 8 years of development experience
- 5 years of Java development experience (POJO and J2EE based)
- 3 years experience developing applications with Microsoft SQL Server
- 3 years experience in JMS message providers (ActiveMQ or WebSphere MQ)
- Knowledge of TC-server or Tomcat

MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK ENGLISH

CONTRACT LENGTH: 1 YEAR (MIGHT GET EXTENDED FOR ANOTHER YEAR BUT THIS WILL DEPEND ON PERFORMANCE AND THE PROJECT)

LOCATION: THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS

RATE: €500 PER DAY (£385)
