Contract Java Developer in Norcross

Our Norcross Client is looking for an enthusiastic Java developer to join their team. This is a long term contract opportunity with a great company.

This individual would be responsible for design, development and implementation of key company applications. He/she will be accountable for coding, documenting, testing, and maintaining applications written in Java. The successful candidate may have some client contact via phone and/or e-mail during the development phase of projects. This position will require providing level-3 support to the production support team.

The successful candidate will have solid development experience and should have the experience, energy and enthusiasm to hit the ground running within a dynamic, rapidly growing company. A curious and creative mind with a thirst for knowledge and new skills are keys to success in this position.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree (B.S) or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years application development experience
Strong knowledge and hand on experience with Java, Java EE, JDBC, Hibernate, Servlets, JSP, AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Web services, SOAP, Oracle WebLogic, and JBoss
Must be familiar with Microsoft SQL Server

Other Requirements:
VB6 knowledge would be a plus but not a requirement
Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
Ability to analyze, and devise approaches under production support pressures
Ability to adapt to constantly changing requirements and proactively recommend and implement policies and procedures for efficient team functioning.
Meet the deliverables on time by effectively balancing the time spent on production support functions and the assigned enterprise level and internal projects
