Contract Java Developer

My client is a government run organisation, who are now currently looking for 3 contract Java Developers to join their team in Plymouth. The Java developers will be required to work on large projects, which will mainly consist of them assisting the team in developing solutions in support of their Virtual Post Room. This is a 6 months contract however there maybe extensions.

The Java Developer responsibilities:

* Day to day completion of technical project tasks
* Implementing APIs for internal and external use
* Updating management and clients with the status of development of the projects
* Unit testing of code and delivering high quality work to agreed deadlines
* Working with a small team to help design and develop a range of advanced technical solutions

The Java Developer skills/knowledge:

* Significant Retail Sector experience
* Previous E-commerce and Retail markets/sector/project experience ideally with Hybris platforms
* A good understanding of and experience using SOAP-based web services; document management
* Spring (Core, Security, MVC)
* Hibernate
* Experience in use of JSON/RESTful interfaces
* Tomcat
* SQL (Oracle/MySQL)
* Good time management skills
