*Contract Fleet Manager.*

My client is looking for a contract Fleet Manager to cover Maternity Leave with the possibility of a permanent role at the end. This is a highly pressurised role dealing with payment and funding of vehicles, whilst overseeing the Admin team who deal with the life of a vehicle from purchase, lease, defleet to sale. You are often dealing with payment and funding of sums in excess of £1m, with tight deadlines and other issues arising at the same time. It is essential that the candidate can keep a cool head, whilst being accurate, having attention to detail and keeping up with the workload demand. They will be required to produce an array of reports, using mainly excel, to the company Directors. Our spread sheets are complex and include advanced formulas and links. A basic understanding of VAT, net and gross figures, discounts and non VAT items is highly important.

Job Role:

* Set up and arrange payment of new vehicles after checking invoices
* Arranging funding agreements with finance companies for large sums of money
* Keeping spread sheets up to date with funding agreements and balances
* Running monthly reports for the board of directors and accounts department for the Admin department, including financial information and prepayments and accruals
* Explain variances and movements on the reports to Directors and understanding the number behind it, using analytical and investigative skills to resolve issues the reports highlight
* Setting up spread sheet of vehicles in stock and costing information for purchase and sale details based on costing sheets provided by Fleet Purchasing Director
* Raise schedules for additional support and bonuses from manufacturers and dealers
* Oversee and provide support to the admin team

Key skills required

* Advanced excel knowledge (preferably already know pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas)
* Analytically minded/previous analytical/accounts experience
* Essential that they work well under pressure and multi-tasking
* Strong head for figures and understanding of finance
* Basic understanding of VAT, net and gross figures, discounts and non VAT items is highly important
* Works well unsupervised
* Good at setting up and preparing reports to Directors
* Thorough and accurate in all things they do
* Good management skills and liaison with Directors
