Contract Financial Accountant (ACCA)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Supervision and review of all month end balance sheet journals, including provisions and consolidation adjustments
- Regular review of provision calculations
- Preparation/review of quarterly VAT, IPT, FSA and National Statistics returns
- Supervision and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Supervision and review of bordereaux production and maintenance of fixed asset register
- Supervision and training of Financial Accounts team
- Preparation of statutory accounts and assistance with tax computations
- Production of weekly and monthly Debtors and Creditors report
- Provision of data to external auditors
- Any ad hoc tasks as requested by the Financial Accounts Manager or Financial Controller
- To work with team to achieve quality and to adhere to deadlines

KNOWLEDGE:

- Experience of using an accounting package
- Excellent understanding of double entry bookkeeping

- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
