Contract Design Engineer Job

DESIGN ENGINEER needed for a long term Contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in central England.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Solidworks (Own Licenced Machine Essential)
-Several years in mechanical design.
-Several years using SolidWorks 3D CAD software.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

-Ensure that all designs are adequately documented and comply with company procedures and controls (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001) as defined.
- Generation of technical documentation and specifications when required.
- Undertake testing (as required) to prove designs are within budgetary constraints and agreed timescales.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

-Design optimisation for strength, cost, ease of maintenance etc.
-Effective communicator of technical idea
-Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
-Able to demonstrate dedication to achieving targets
-Confidence in own work
-Effective self-management of time and prioritisation of workload
-Passion to succeed
-Able to demonstrate striving for perfection in own work
