CONTRACT DCS ENGINEER/DCS TECHNICAL LEAD

LOCATION: BERGEN, NORWAY

DURATION: 12-18 MONTHS

RATE: NEGOTIABLE

Contract DCS Engineer/DCS Technical Lead is required by our IT Services client to join a high profile project and client based in BERGEN, NORWAY for 12months +.

To be considered for this Distributed Control System (DCS) role you will have:

- Hands on experience in designing, developing and implementing DCS (Distributed Control System includes controllers, HMI) - Hardware, network interface and application
- Hands on experience in designing, developing and implementing ESD (Emergency Safety Devices)
- Reverse Engineering/upgrade - Legacy to Latest DCS Platform
- Experience working on APACS, APACS+ and Quadlog systems
- Experience working on ABB DCS 800XA
- Understanding P&I, Panel wiring drawings, control wiring and fields drawings
- Good knowledge of Knowledge of C programming standards and Database knowledge
- Functional Safety Certification (like TUV)

Responsibilities for the Distributed Control System (DCS) role but not limited to:

- Study and understand the process and functionality of the existing DCS (controller, HMI, interfaces to sub-systems) and ESD system
- Reverse Engineering and export existing DCS, ESD logics into functional documents
- Migrate the functions into the new DCS platform(controller, HMI, interfaces)
- Testing, Validation and FAT
