Contract Data Scientist - Brussels - Machine Learning, Neural Networks

Next ventures, on behalf of a global Energy provider, are heading up the search for a CONTRACT DATA SCIENTIST to be based is BRUSSELS, BELGIUM. This contract will run until the end of the year and is expected to move quickly. Following this contract, there will be a range of further Data Science contract opportunities for the successful Data Scientist.

This contract is open to individuals of ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS and is focussed around technical ability and willingness to commit to a project. You will have exposure to a range of projects including OPTIMISING ENERGY PRODUCTION, GAUGING CUSTOMER USAGE FOR ENERGY STORAGE AND OPTIMAL CHARGE-RATE CALCULATING.

Ultimately, as a DATA SCIENTIST in an Energy provider, you will not only be saving the company money but also helping with the issue of climate change. There is currently a small team in place which will be steadily growing. Therefore, there is definitely room for PROGRESSION to a SENIOR CONTRACTOR moving forward.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Large Scale Machine Learning experience

Supervised and unsupervised learning knowledge

Big Data manipulation using tools such as Hadoop, Spark and AWS (desired)

Experience creating Data clusters

Neural networks and deep learning knowledge

Data Gathering/Data Mining expertise

English speaking (essential)

Dutch and/or French Speaking (a bonus)

Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
