SUMMARY

We are looking for a Data Governance Manager who will be responsible for implementing and overseeing data governance procedures across the Group, implementing data governance procedures. You will also be r esponsible for completing the rollout of the Data Governance processes through a set of data owners and stewards in each business area and reviewing the data integrity implications of historical data in order to achieve consistent quality and definitions and MI.

Key skills & experience required:

- Proven experience in delivering data governance policies and procedures
- Knowledge of the financial services industry
- Experience of Data Governance/Quality initiatives
- Understanding and experience of processes, standards and policies related to data governance
- Understanding of data management and the use of data
- Ideally an understanding of methodologies used in business architecture and systems development
- Ability to influence and gain credibility with business personnel and management
- Ability to combine influencing, persuasion and consultancy skills with leadership qualities that will encourage business leaders to positively respond to questions, enquiries and requests to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working with people at all levels within and external to the business
- Able to mentor and coach other team members who are permanent, contract or third party
- Prepared to integrate across the organisation in order to find the right answers in respect of data definition and data governance
