Contract Senior C++ Software Engineer - 12 Month Initial Contract - Global Service Provider - Surrey

My client who are a cutting edge service provider are currently in need of a Contract Senior C++ Software Engineer for an initial 12 month period. You will be tasked with joining a fast-paced, expanding team of experienced Software Engineers working on a multitude of projects for my clients customers.

This position offers the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of technology. With an extensive list of high profile projects you will be exposed to all areas of Software Development including the latest innovations in systems such as contactless payments. Continuous variety and guidance from senior members of the team will afford you the opportunity to become a subject matter expert within this sector.

The Role:
- Comply with the company Quality Management System
- Software Development; problem analysis, solution determination, code design and development, integration, test, modification and documentation
- Requirements gathering/analysis and customer acceptance
- Performing systems analysis. Developing sub-system, equipment interfaces and procurement specifications
- Coordinating and developing project concepts, objectives, specifications and resource needs

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential:
- Strong Senior Software Engineer experience
- Extensive background within C++ development in embedded systems environment
- In-depth experience of cross platform development with Win32 and Linux
- Experience of multithread application development (threads, queues, mutexes, file I/O)

Desirable:
- Support and maintenance experience on production systems
