Contract and Billing Specialist Job

CONTRACT AND BILLING ANALYST needed for an eight (8+) month contract opportunity with Yoh's client located Gaithersburg, MD.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Review, comprehend and effectively discuss complex terms and conditions in distribution agreements and related documents (termination notices, amendments, etc.) with internal legal and sales executives and external customers.
- Identify contractual issues pertaining to revenue accounting, ability to bill in AFS, ambiguous terms, and errors and omissions.
- Formulate effective and efficient solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Partner closely with Distribution Accounting to identify and resolve revenue accounting issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Understand and operate in accordance with established operating controls.
- Ensure all contracts are setup for billing in AFS in accordance with agreement provisions.
- Protect and increase AFS data integrity.
- Perform meaningful and documented peer review of contract set-up elements. Work closely with the Billing, Collections and Systems teams on all aspects which ensure accurate, timely and efficient billing.
- Partner with the Systems team to develop a robust and prioritized list of system enhancement requests

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Ability to read and understand large complex agreements.
- Critical thinker and exceptional problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to frame issues, articulate findings, present and implement optimal solutions.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Proficient use of MS Excel, utilization of large spreadsheets, pivot tables, sorting, and reporting.
- Ability to learn financial applications quickly; SAP experience is a plus; past billing experience a plus.
- Prioritization, organization and attention to detail are a must.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service. Team player.
- Accounting or paralegal training a plus.
- Two to four (2 to 4) years of work experience in a dynamic, growing and fast paced environment.
