Continuous Improvement Engineer - South Wales

Amoria Bond are looking for an Continuous Improvement Engineer initially on a 6 month contract.
Our client is a large manufacturer within the automotive industry. The successful Continuous Improvement Engineer will provide technical capability for development, production and quality of automotive parts and systems in order to develop more efficient and cost effective processes.
My client specialise in BIW, structures and chassis components in the automotive industry supplying some high profile clients.

The successful Continuous Improvement Engineer will provide design feasibility, manage project costs and timings, look at process assembly, as well as liaising with customers and suppliers.
Reporting into the Engineering Plant Manager, the successful Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for improvements on several vehicle lines, Lean manufacturing and special equipment feasibility.

Suitable Continuous Improvement Engineer's should demonstrate examples of confirming specifications for performance, quality, durability and fault finding of automotive components. Additionally the successful Continuous Improvement Engineer should show their ability to self manage and demonstrate a track record of project control. The successfully candidate will be TS16949 audited in line with recognised automotive quality standards.

Skills and experience required:
*BIW, chassis or structural parts
*Tier 1/OEM automotive experience
*Welding experience
*Value stream mapping
*Continuous improvements
*Lean manufacturing/6 sigma/Kaizen
*Hands on manufacturing
*Process flows
*Line balancing
*Automotive assembly experience

The contract is initially 6 months but is likely to be extended depending upon performance and workload. The agreed rate per hour is negotiable and Dependent on level of experience.
