Description

McAfee Labs Content Release Operations team is looking for a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about reducing cycle times to get systems and software deployed faster. This opportunity is to join the Content Release team who are responsible for building, testing and releasing McAfee's malware definition (DAT) files each day. Reporting to the Manager, Content Release Operations, you will be working alongside our Environments Administrators to automate systems administration tasks.

Fixed Term Contract - 6 months

Assist in the implementation and continual improvement of automated deployment and system configuration management
Safeguard the integrity of the environments to ensure that changes to systems happen in a controlled manner
Collaborate with Corporate IT and engineering teams to help build and test environments that meet business needs
Identify and implement technology to assist with test environment automation
Ensure incidents and problems are diagnosed and effective resolutions implemented
Monitor the performance and availability of the environments to ensure that SLAs are maintained

Qualifications

Windows Operating System and Active Directory administration
Strong experience with VMware technologies (vSphere and vRealize Orchestrator)
Good understanding of system configuration management tools (Puppet mainly on Windows Environments)
Good experience on any of the following script languages: batch, JavaScript, PowerShell, Python and windows native command line tools such as WMIC
Experience using and managing Unix-based computers
Good understanding of TCP/IP networks and security
Familiar with version control systems (Subversion)
Understanding of SQL language(s)

Qualifications & Accreditations:

ITIL v3 Foundation
MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) plus min 2 years hands-on system administration know-how
VCP (VMware Certified Professional) plus min 2 years solid knowledge of virtualization experience
