Job Title:Consultant Psychiatrist, Cork
General Adult Services(part time, specified purpose)
Working Week:19.5 hours per week
Hours of Work: 11 scheduled notional 3-hour sessions, together with two non-schedulable sessions per week (pro rata for 0.5 WTE)
Duties (High Overview):To treat inpatients, day carer and outpatients
To develop an appropriate and agreed sub-speciality interest
To work within a multi-disciplinary team environment
To engage in the teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Consultant Psychiatrist, Cork

Qualifications and/or experience:
Candidates must have:
Have full registration with the Medical Council's General Register of Medical Practitioners and are a member, or are eligible to be a member, of the Medical Council's Specialist Register in Psychiatry
Possess the M.R.C.Psych., M.R.C.P.I. in Psychiatry, or an equivalent qualification;
Have at least seven years satisfactory experience (after primary medical qualification) in the practise of the medical profession, of which not less than five have been devoted to psychiatry.
Experience in teaching undergraduates; postgraduates
Experience in research
Experience in working in a MDT environment
Experience and appreciation of working within a quality assurance environment
