Consultant Psychiatrist

Matta Care Group are hoping to recruit a passionate and committed Consultant Psychiatrist to work a minimum of one day per fortnight within a Care Home Setting on a contractual basis based in the Southport area. The Home is registered for 53 beds and provides Nursing care and support to clients who have Dementia and complex mental health needs. We hope to enable our clients to receive a cohesive and holistic approach to their treatment regardless of the complexity.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist you will play a key role in the successful outcomes for our clients while liaising with the Home Manager at all times. You will review clients and undertake assessments of mental health needs while working in collaboration with the local CMHT.

The post holder will liaise with Nursing staff, Medical Practitioners, Psychologists and Social Workers in order to ensure a high standard in provision of service. You will be legally and financially responsible for medical negligence occurring in the course of private practice.

The successful candidate must be qualified and have experience of working in a mental health setting within a multi-disciplinary team. You will maintain registration with the GMC. You will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service. There is no on call requirements.
