Consultant Job Gastroenterology

The Trust provides a wide range of acute and rehabilitation hospital services, as well as some community health services. The Trust serves a resident population of around 212,000 people. This number increase every year by further 3.3 million day trippers and 375,000 staying visitors.

As the Consultant Geriatrician you may be expected to participate in the on-call rota for acute upper GI bleeding (currently 1 in 8) but it is not expected that there will be any commitment to the medical on call rota. You will also be expected to participate in the department's undergraduate/postgraduate and Advanced Nurse Practitioner education programme.
In return you will be appointed as a full time Gastroenterology Consultant and will be expected to integrate within the team of existing Consultants in order to provide a complete and high quality, service.
In order to be considered for this position is it essential for candidates to have MCRS/FRCS/MBBS (or equivalent), experience of all aspects of gastrointestinal medicine and endoscopy (except ERCP) and in leading acute admitting medical team, full registration with the GMC.
