Consultant Anaesthetics ROI

We are currently recruiting for cconsultant Anaesthetetics for our client.
This is an exciting time to join the Trust, which has an exceptional clinical casemix and a wide range of specialist surgery and which is rapidly growing as a designated major acute provider . There is substantial new investment, with four new operating theatres opening in mid 2014 including a state-of-the-art vascular hybrid suite and a new A&E opening in 2015. A capital bid for a major expansion of critical care is currently at draft stage.
In line with these developments, these posts are intended to augment anaesthetic consultant cover for complex and emergency surgery and to form part of a strategy to develop a new integrated vision for anaesthesia and peri-operative medicine. You will take part in providing and developing modern peri-operative pathways, from pre-operative assessment through to intra-operative optimisation and advanced post-operative care, across multiple surgical specialties.
The Anaesthetic department is a friendly, non-hierarchical and innovative organisation with 34 Consultants and an Associate Specialist supported by a full complement of trainees, Specialty Grade Doctors and Physicians' Assistants (Anaesthesia). The department actively encourages involvement in leadership, development and management by all Consultants regardless of seniority and we are proud that many key roles are currently held by recently-appointed colleagues.
