Consultancy Manager (Building Surveyor)

Eingestellt von National Trust

Gesuchte Skills: Support, Consultants

Projektbeschreibung

About the role

There's no other organisation like the National Trust, Europe's largest conservation body. No other organisation that brings such an incredible array of places and spaces to life. No other organisation with such an extraordinary wealth of talent, expertise and insight. And that's why we've created the National Trust Consultancy, home to specialists in every field of our work with over 500 staff. From curators to building surveyors to architectural historians. From community involvement and commercial professionals to authorities in archaeology and conservation.

As our Consultancy Manager, you'll lead, direct and develop a team of multi-disciplinary consultants, who offer practical advice and solutions across their specialist areas. In your role, you'll take the lead on new opportunities within our built environment ' making sure we care efficiently and effectively for our building stock, that conservation requirements are balanced alongside those of visitors and tenants and managing your own case load of properties. You'll look after brand new projects including anything from a new catering facility to managing major refurbishment and infrastructure developments. Day-to-day, you'll use your networking skills to gain buy-in from all key stakeholders. Supporting business plans, you'll identify opportunities and needs - and make sure everyone has the tools they need - to look after our properties and places, and in turn serve our visitors and supporters.

This role will ideally be worked from Newcastle, although there is the potential to work from York where you would need to be prepared to travel as your portfolio of clients will be based across the North East.

About you

You make things happen - and you have the track record to prove it. You'll have a Building Surveying, building management or project management background, ideally alongside some conservation or heritage experience. You'll be able to demonstrate your account management skills and how you approach managing teams and projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. Wherever you come from you'll be influential and enthusiastic, a leader that inspires and engages - and it's also vital you're confident managing people over a distance. With excellent influencing, negotiating and networking skills, you get the best out of people and budgets to get things done and make things happen, delivering excellent results without compromising on excellent quality.

Incredibly rewarding

Do great things for us and we'll do great things for you and your career. We'll give you all the training, support and continued professional development you need, and we appreciate that work/life balance is important. You can also look forward to free admission to all our incredible places, and a helpful 20% off at our shops, cafes and restaurants. But they're just the benefits we can tell you about here. There are lots more at on our website.

About us

Here at the National Trust, we want even more people to enjoy our extraordinary places. We want people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved with them, be inspired by them, and love them as much as we do. That's why we've put some bold ambitions in place. We want everyone in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to feel like a member of the National Trust and, by 2020, we want to have grown our membership to more than five million.
