Construction Superintendent

Construction Superintendent is needed for a construction project in Sacramento, CA. Must have Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) construction and installation experience. Experience with HVAC and ductwork is also needed. This is a 2-3 month contract offering competitive hourly rate and benefits. This is not a structural position. Candidates with construction experience on food or beverage processing plants preferred. Now interviewing for immediate start.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and control assigned projects at the food processing construction site, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination.
- Maintain construction services, recruiting, selecting, and training employees; maintaining a safe work environment, communicating job expectations, coach, counseling and disciplining employees.
- Coordinate requirements with subcontractors, vendors and the company's office staff to meet construction schedules
- Achieve financial objectives; assist in contract negotiations; meet budget projections; anticipate requirements, submit information for budget preparation;schedule expenditures; monitor costs; analyze variances; review invoices and work in place; and recommend revisions to estimates
- Fulfill contract requirements, complete daily on-site inspection of work in place and work in process and complete adjustments and corrections. Enforce building codes.

REQUIREMENTS

- Must have at least 5 years of experience as an on-site superintendent, site manager or field engineer with Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing ( MEP) construction trades.
- Experience with construction and MEP installations of food or beverage processing or manufacturing plants is a preference.
- Must have at least a High school diploma. University degree in engineering or construction management is preferred and education on your application will be verified.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings. Must have proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, MS Project.
- Must be thorough, assertive, self-motivated, alert, truthfulness and responsible.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
