Construction Manager

This major defence organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Construction Manager to proactively manage all Mechanical, Electrical & Building Services Construction activities on allocated projects to meet UK legal, project requirements and specification against the agreed Project Programme and to lead other members of Mechanical, Electrical & Building Services construction management team to promote a positive environmental health and safety culture.

The Construction Manager will also be expected to:

* Ensure that all Mechanical, Electrical & Building Services construction activities on the project comply with all legal requirements and ensure that Mechanical, Electrical & Building Services construction management resources utilised are fit for purpose and are managed in a cost effective manner.
* Organise and manage project Mechanical, Electrical & Building Services construction management resources to deliver the project and provide technical advice as required during the Development and Construction Phases.
* Ensure that Mechanical, Electrical & Building Services risk assessments and safe systems of work submitted by contractors meet the requirements of internal Management Systems.
* Undertake accurate reporting of all Mechanical, Electrical & Building Services activities and issues which affect the progress, quality and which provide a reflection of the contractor's performance against the agreed contract programme.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS ROLE OUR CLIENT WILL HAVE TO PUT YOU THROUGH SECURITY CLEARANCE, SO YOU WILL EITHER HAVE TO BE ELIGIBLE TO GO THROUGH THE PROCESS OR HOLD VALID CLEARANCE.
