One of the biggest international Medical Device companies is looking for a Congress Manager.

This is a challenging contracting position starting in January 2019 for 10 months in Zuchwil, Solothurn, Switzerland.

JOB SUMMARY

Project and congress management of company presence at international congresses.

YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Project management of company presence at international congresses
- Liaising with Marketing business units
- Concept, planning, organization, on-site support and follow-up of the company presence at international congresses
- Booth concept and design in collaboration with Brand Management
- Project budget management
- Strengthen partnership with congress organizers and associations
- Steer collaboration with external suppliers such as booth builders, convention agencies, hotels, logistic companies etc.
- Cost and quality control
- Project management of congresses including accompanying events
- Coordination of congress participations worldwide on request
- Close collaboration with the Brand, Creative Management and Communication team
- Coordination of Exhibition material
- Ensure application of corporate compliance policies with all relevant stakeholders
- Security, maintenance, harmonization and development of company standards and processes
- Providing consistent internal and external information channels

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

- Bachelor's degree (preferably with major in marketing, professional education, tourism, hotel business or similar fields)
- Certificate or formal training in project management and congress management
- Fluent Englishabout 5+B2 in congress management or professional education
- Competencies in the congress marketing area and skills required to develop and implement cross national congress strategies or to strengthen a brand on a national as well as on an international level.
- Ability to work proactively in partnership with customers and external stakeholders to develop opportunities and solutions.
- Good oral, written and presentation skills.
- Above average social and networking skills and the ability to translate business requirements into physical presence.
- Proven experience in project management, professional education or tourism management
