CONFIGURATION MANAGER - BELGIUM - SC CLEARANCE
Working for a classified project in Belgium, a Configuration Manager is required for an initial 6 month contract.
Asset and Configuration management of large number of complex and interrelated CIs for a large IT data center. Responsible for organising, directing, and managing activities for providing asset procurement support for IT devices and components; inventory management and tracking of all devices to include entering CI data into Remedy Atrium CMDB and configuration of virtual Servers to support the expansion of services.
The individual must have the skills to address issues with service desk management, Level 1, 2 and 3 support. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated problem solver possessing effective analytical skills as they relates to deployment and release issues. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The applicant must be fluent in English. QUALIFICATIONS
- IT Asset and/or Configuration management with attention to details and understanding established processes; experience in leading or working with a configuration/procurement team; experience in documenting and revising processes and procedures; experience in identifying, analysing processes and identifying areas for improvement; experience in managing tasks to ensure product or service delivery to meet established schedules and timelines; experience in organising and prioritising workload requirements; ability to work in leading and fostering a productive team, motivating members to ensure timely deliverables.
- Assist in planning for Configuration Management databases and activities. Identify Configuration Items under management. Control Configuration Item information. Perform status accounting, verification and audit of Configuration Management databases. Provide management information about Configuration Management quality and
OPERATIONS
- Maintain quality of CI information entered into Remedy CI Databases
- Collect information about the current state of CIs
- Receive and obtain announcements of significant changes in the state or condition of CIs
- Respond to requests information and for CI changes and updates from Change Management
DESIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor degree in relevant field, with 5 years of direct experience in IT service delivery support, or 7+ years of related experience without a degree
- ITIL training and/or certification
- Experience with IT device solutions
- Certification in relevant IT products/technologies
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Experience in one or more technologies: Remedy Atrium CMDB, SCCM, Scorch, SCOM, Cisco Prime, NetAppl OnTap, Citrix ZenAppl
