Configuration Manager

I have a global client based in Nashville who needs a network security expert for the Global Service Management (GSM) function, to provide senior support to the wider Service Delivery organization in a number of specialist areas. Additional resources are needed in these areas to meet growing volumes, tighter processes and more onerous evidence requirements demanded by modern operational controls. This Associate GSM role would work within an established expert function and provide additional capacity across three main areas: Network Security, Backup, and Risk & Vulnerability Management.

As follows:
The Configuration Manager will lead the Configuration Management function, which includes both configuration tracking and remediation streams of activity.
This is a client facing role - the face of the function both internally and externally. The role will require a willingness to get involved in the detailed running of the function on a day to day basis in addition to directing the activities of a Matrix organization of staff in global locations.
The Config Management is responsible for the execution of a broad array of Configuration Management activities and accountable for overall success of the function.

CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT PROCESS DEVELOPMENT & EVOLUTION
Develop and agree the fundamental stages of a bespoke Configuration Management process for a global blue chip enterprise network
Evolve the process, metrics, roles and responsibilities as necessary to adapt the process and maintain currency with the environment

MANAGE ROUTINE OPERATIONS OF THE CfgM FUNCTION
Direct and Coordinate the CfgMresources and Matrix personnel to execute on CfgM related activities in a regular and timely manner
Track progress of function against goals and targets, adapting and refocusing efforts as necessary to ensure successful delivery
Call and host internal and client facing progress/status meetings, and document progress in regular reports and presentations

MAINTAIN PERFORMANCE METRICS AND PERFORM OPERATIONAL CONTROL CERTIFICATIONS
Develop a meaningful scorecard of key metrics for the service and trend these over time to illustrate progress and challenges
Archive historical records, collate evidence, and certify to the effectiveness of the CfgM function over time
