For our client, global insurance leader, we are looking for a CONFIGURATION MANAGER to work on a 3-6 MONTHS INITIAL CONTRACT with possibility of extension or going perm in FAREHAM.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- management of the Development and Test environments across the SME Programme
- ensure that the environments are fit for purpose for the Testing team in terms of the underpinning infrastructure and services as well as management of the code versions across the new and Legacy systems
- implementing the change management and configuration management process and strategy (plus design the process)
- management of the test and dev environments: ensuring they met the needs of the Testing and Development team
- Service Delivery: interfacing with 3rd party suppliers and internal teams to identify requirements and their delivery
- Code Management: ensuring that at each stage of the Programme the required code version for each new and Legacy environment is known, documented and in place, to ensure that the Development and Testing services can be delivered at speed
- Configuration Management: drive and own configuration managementn, ensure that code is configuration managed and there is a single centrally stored version of all code
- running Change Boards
- administer SVN and XML - hands on delivery of the packages (build, physically deploy code)

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

- track record of Configuration Management and Change Management experience
- ability to take ownership of Configuration and Deployment
- strong Insurance experience
- strong, hands on experience in delivery of XML and SVN (building, physical deployment)
- ideally previous experience of a start-up projects and experience in delivering the strategy
- experience of working on a large transformation project
- strong skills in engagement and communication
