Configuration Manager

The Configuration Manager will have the overall CM responsibility for Customer Solutions/Projects during its life cycle as defined below.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Write and maintain the Master Configuration Index (MCI).
- Create and maintain the solution structure in the appropriate.
- Create and assign unique document names to all project artefacts as per the standard guidelines
- Make sure the naming convention for products, documents and files are followed as per the standard guidelines
- Write and maintain configuration management plan.
- Inform stakeholders about CM activities, the CM plan and future changes to it
- Check and ensure that the CM plan is followed
- Ensure that CI's (Configuration Items) and their revisions are correctly and uniquely identified
- Initiate and conduct review meetings - Administrate baselines and changes to them
- Define and initiate the configuration change control board activities and to inform the relevant project members of the decision taken by the board
- Store and maintain all project documents in the project repository
- Keep libraries available to all persons involved in the Customer Solution and make sure that all documents are stored in the appropriate archive
- Verify CM compliance in the final baseline and participate in release meetings
- Make all Customer Solution deliveries and notify defined receivers (eg Customer, Project Manager, Support organization etc)
- Support the project team on the configuration management tools to be used in projects
- Train project team on the configuration management process and tools
- Configuration status accounting, auditing and reporting
