Configuration Management Specialist Job

A CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST is needed for a Contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Rome, NY.

- Incumbent must have knowledge of configuration management. The person in this position will be responsible for management of the current electronic engineering change process within TeamCenter. Responsible for maintaining quality data and meeting configuration management requirements of the business. It will be key for the person in this role to actively work with IT and engineering to correct errors in the system and ensure business needs are met.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- To ensure correct and timely Engineering change (COs) implementation to meet the needs of the business.
- Complete review tasks within the TeamCenter Engineering change workflow to ensure data is of a high level quality.
- Ensure appropriate departments and responsible parties review and sign (physically or electronically) engineering changes in accordance with engineering and configuration management policies and procedures.
- Responsible for quality of data processed through the electronic change control system
- Work with TeamCenter development team to test fixes and improvements to current Engineering Change workflow. Management of Change Process
- Works with TeamCenter database administrators to correct errors and troubleshoot problems.

Work with data owners and TeamCenter database administrators and developers on an ongoing basis to cleanse data.
- Maintain familiarity with Customer Specs, AS9100, MIL Specs and Internal procedures relative to Configuration Management.
- Assist in the development of Configuration Management policies and procedures to ensure needs of business are documented.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field required.
- Two - Five years experience in Configuration management, engineering technology.
- Ability to read and interpret requirements pertinent to CM requirements.
- Ability to write general business correspondence, and contribute significantly to the development of departmental processes/procedures.
- Ability to effectively provide information and respond to questions from customers.
- Ability to assist in defining problems, collecting data, and formulating solutions.

NOTE: This is a six month contract, paying $27 per hour.
