Configuration Management Analyst x 2

Defence client requires 2 x Configuration Management Analysts who will report to and support the Service Asset and Configuration Manager and be responsible for the following activities:

To establish the Software Product baseline for the Infrastructure
To establish the Server Build Type (SBT) Product list for all Server Types
To establish the Software Product Usage map for all licensable software

SKILLS REQUIRED

Skills - Mandatory:
Working experience and knowledge of the ITIL v2/3 principles governing the activities of the role. Working experience and knowledge of Configuration/Asset Management toolsets. Ability to maintain Access database entries and extract queries/reports. Ability to seek out required work, gain agreement to value of work and take ownership of entire delivery. Ability to facilitate meetings to resolve complex issues. Ability to communicate clearly with higher level suppliers/customers act as an ambassador for Service Asset and Configuration Management. Ability to create new processes/documentation to a high standard and manage the implementation. Experience of development, release and deployment life cycle. Technical understanding of the infrastructure build process.

Skills - Useful:
ITIL qualification. Experience of Borlands StarTeam or HP uCMDB tools. WMI Scripting experience. Project Management (Prince II) or team leading experience. Previous experience implementing ITIL v2/3 configuration management process. Experience of configuration management verification & audit using automated discovery. Strong knowledge of SQL or Scripting experience. Planning experience. Previous experience delivering presentations and training to internal and external customers. Previous knowledge of the infrastructure build and test process,

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
As this is a Defence client, security clearance to SC or DV level must be achieved unless already a holder (please mention status on your application)
