Configuration Control Analyst Job

OPERATIONS CONFIGURATION CONTROL ANALYST needed for a short term CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in PALO ALTO, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This individual is responsible for CHANGE DOCUMENTATION AND ITEM REVISION MANAGEMENT, serving as a focal point for engineering changes between worldwide OEM customers and manufacturers. The candidate should be highly detail oriented and analytical, as well as thrive in collaborative environment as a problem solver.
- ANALYZE ENGINEERING CHANGES TO DETERMINE the effect on the end product design and function by collaborating with internal product engineers
- MANAGE CHANGE DOCUMENTATION INCLUDING ENGINEERING CHANGE REQUESTS (ECR), Manufacturing Change Requests (MCR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO) in support of all product release and sustaining activities
- COORDINATE WITH OEM CUSTOMERS and manufacturers to determine a disposition of the change; create and distribute Technical Change Notices (TCN) to OEM customers; obtain customer's approval for the change through Agile PLM system as required
- UPDATE INTERNAL ORACLE ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING (ERP) WITH ITEM REVISIONS AGAINST EACH ECO
- Support internal and external customers to resolve issues by researching Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering drawings and product specification documents
- FACILITATE CONFIGURATION CONTROL BOARD MEETINGS with cross functional team consisting of Engineering and Services
- PROVIDE LANGUAGE ASSISTANCE in communication between Engineers and manufacturers in Japan as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BA with three to five (3 - 5) years of experience in documentation control and change management
- Bilingual in English and JAPANESE (read, write and speak) (OR) prior WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH JAPANESE CLIENTS OR PROJECT
- Experience in MANUFACTURING OR ENGINEERING ENVIRONMENT, with knowledge of ENGINEERING DRAWINGS AND BILL OF MATERIALS
- DIRECT EXPERIENCE WITH PLM SOFTWARE (AGILE OR ARENA) AND ORACLE ERP A PLUS
- Highly detail oriented, analytical and organized
- Excellent written/verbal communication with ability to work with cross functional teams
- Demonstrated MS Office proficiency
- EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING OR ENGINEERING ENVIRONMENT, WITH KNOWLEDGE OF ENGINEERING DRAWINGS AND BILL OF MATERIALS
- DIRECT EXPERIENCE WITH PLM SOFTWARE (AGILE OR ARENA) AND ORACLE ERP A PLUS
- Flexibility in working with different time zones (Japan)
