Computer Support Specialist Job

COMPUTER SUPPORT SPECIALIST needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Manhattan, NYC.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Install new workplace devices for end users including PC, Mac, Peripherals, smartphones, and tablets, etc. PC refresh vs. New Hires.
- Brainstorm workplace solutions where standard offerings are not available and collaborate with technical lead to create a proposal.
- Conduct PC refresh pre-site surveys to identify requirements for any hardware or software procurement
- Provide end user workplace support including issue resolution, upgrades/patches, new software installations and general Q primarily computer disconnect/reconnect.
- Assist with troubleshooting by partnering with other IT teams across the organization (Business Technology, Infrastructure, etc).
- Study new workplace technologies and attend/recommend training where needed. Reference training plan.
- Provide feedback from end users to their Client Services Director
- Share/Blog issues/resolutions with other Client Server teams (and enterprise teams as needed). Reference the blog

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills in a professional service environment, with responsibility for supporting multiple applications; team oriented-professional and cooperative attitude is a must.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, including effective multi-tasking, exercising objectivity and composure under stress and professionalism and advancing on long-term projects in parallel to ongoing daily business needs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to relate to business (ability to work with customers that have limited technical knowledge) and technical customers.
- Must have strong leadership and project management capabilities. Strong ability to manage multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.
