We have an exciting opening for a COMPUTER OPERATOR with our progressive client in Greenville, SC. This is a 3 MONTH contract opportunity with EXCELLENT BENEFITS AND CONTRACT RENEWAL available.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

--- This position is responsible for monitoring the scheduling, performance and availability of the production environments and services maintained by Clemson Computing and Information Technology.
--- Controls computer resources to ensure efficient resource utilization and timely completion of all tasks and critical production job streams.
--- Initiates operating system, application, or job recovery tasks when necessary.
--- Insures all production output processing is handled properly, including proper forms alignment, correct output verification and timely distribution.
--- Position will be responsible for operating the global monitoring consoles for the University's services, systems, networks, external networks and partner environments.

CANDIDATE TECHNICAL BACKGROUND:

--- MICROSOFT/BASIC PC SKILLS, MS Office
--- CALL CENTER OPERATIONS
--- INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
--- UNIX/Linux
--- WINDOWS SERVER
--- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND EXPERIENCE IN OFFICE AUTOMATION SYSTEMS, DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS, INSTALLATION, OPERATION, REPAIR, OR PROCESSING OF INFORMATION IN A DATA PROCESSING ENVIRONMENT.
