Computer Forensic Analyst

Montash have been engaged by a Global Organisation to source and secure a Computer Forensic Analyst to work in a complex and fast paced environment. This role would report directly into the IT Security Investigations Manager.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the development of computer forensic policy, procedures and manuals

Assisting the IT Security Investigations Manager with computer forensics investigations for Corporate Security Business Practices Office, the Group Head of IGM, Group Chief IT Security Officer as well as for other corporate stakeholders.

Investigate IT Security breaches from within and external to the organization

Where required, testify in court proceedings regarding forensic procedures utilized to acquire evidence and the description of any evidence obtained.

Manage the development of tools, policies/guidelines and processes to support the digital forensic program.

Manage and perform data analysis, data mining, or Datamodelling on databases

Skills and Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in computer forensic investigations, including experience with seizing forensic evidence as part of a judicial investigation

Hands on experience with forensics tools around (but not limited to) forensic analysis and forensic imaging.

Experience with EnCase and FTK or similar forensic tools is preferred.

English written and spoken (required)

The ability to communicate IT Security and IT Security risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Familiar with legal and regulatory requirements that may impact IT security (eg SOX, GxG/CSV, E-compliance, Records Management, Privacy)
