Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit a Senior Research Engineer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

The Job:
The purpose of the Senior Research Engineer role is to contribute technical skills to our client's wide range of computational fluid dynamics and computational acoustic programmes. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely within the team but be able to take individual responsibility for specific development and applications tasks. Considerable scope exists for individuals to assume additional roles and responsibilities. They will be able to effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders and deliver high quality results within budget and time constraints. Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge:
Experience in the development and implementation of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methodologies
Experience in the application of CFD techniques to a range of aerospace and/or marine related studies with particular interest, but not solely limited to, areas such as unstructured meshes, unsteady flows, DES/LES methodologies, multi-physics and moving meshes. Advanced use of the Ansys CFX solver and Ansys ICEM meshing software
An understanding of aero and/or hydro acoustic modelling methodologies (eg boundary element and finite element techniques). Application expertise in these areas would be highly advantageous
Strong mathematical and numerical skills with a broad knowledge of underlying fluid dynamics phenomena
Knowledge of software development and engineering in a variety of languages including C, and C++
Strong communications and interpersonal skills will be required in order to interact with our wide a range of internal and external customers.
Degree qualified (preferably higher degree) in maths, engineering or a physical science or equivalent
A specific requirement of the role is that customer interactions on HMG activities will
