Component Technician Job

COMPONENT TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in LOUISVILLE, KY.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Must be able to articulate and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to read English and understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents.
- Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on.
- Mechanical aptitude.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Performs technical/mechanical functions pertaining to the aircraft component overhaul process.
- Must be familiar with all shop equipment operations and its maintenance and able to work with little or no supervision.
- Performs dis-assembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer's specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines and operating procedures.
- Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned.
- Completes necessary related documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintains proper segregation and identification of components in progress.
- Performs final product preparation of units to be shipped

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ year Mechanical experience and ability to attain requires operating certifications.
- Production line experience.
- MUST have mechanical type experience as they will be working on large aircraft wheels and brakes.
