Component Engineer (29063)

My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, is looking to recruit a Component Engineer to join their Powertrain division on a long-term contract basis.

Position Description:
The project engineer is responsible for all elements of design and delivery of revised AWD system derivatives. This includes specification of design, interrogation of design calculations and test results as well as support of production builds and program timing control + APQP delivery.

Skills Required:
Must be able to drive and have a full UK licence.
Technical understanding of driveline system including axles and drive units.
Ability to use Microsoft Office & Project software packages.
Appreciation of both CAE and test techniques.

Skills Preferred:
Understanding of engineering drawings.

Experience Required:
Experience in either automotive or aero industries.

Experience Preferred:
Work on Drive unit or axle design.

Education Required:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
