Component Engineer

My client, a leading aerospace organisation is looking to recruit a C;Component EngineerD; to work 12 month contract based in the Gloucestershire area.

Role:
As the engineer responsible for all of the main Component Engineering activities
Obsolescence management, internally and approval of suppliers alternate component and materials requests
Clearing Purchase Queries from the Supply Chain team
Supporting Component Request For Quotation
Basic materials engineering tasks
Responsible for all Component and Materials Engineering

Skills and experience:
Knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical components in an aerospace or defence environment
Knowledge of component procurement specifications; source control drawings etc.
Typically will have had experience in an aerospace or defence engineering and / or manufacturing environment responsible for component and materials engineering
