Component Design Engineer

*LEADING COMPUTER COMPONENTS MANUFACTURER SEEKS DATA CENTER COMPONENT DESIGN ENGINEER*

PROJECT: memory expansion chip design for use in high end server platforms

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- RTL coding to implement chipset functionality per Cspec, HAS, MAS
- Work closely with pre-si validation team to debug failing tests
- Work closely with Physical Design team to resolve timing closure issues
- Document functionality, usage models as required to support stakeholders

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- BS/MS in EE or Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Expert knowledge of ASIC design flows and methodologies
- Expert knowledge of ASIC tools and Unix environment
- 10+ years of experience converting micro-architecture specification to RTL design
- 10+ years of experience with RTL coding for synthesis using Verilog
- 10+ years of experience with Synopsys Tools
- 5+ years of experience with FPGA Tools and debugging board/FPGA in the lab
- FPGA/Altera/Xilinx APR tools
- FPGA/Synplify
- Languages: Verilog, Perl, Tcl, C
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PLUS SKILLS:

- Expertise in GIT/Source Code Management
- Expertise in Embedded Microcontroller subsystem design
- Expertise in Embedded micro-controllers/ARM cores
- Expertise in DDR3/DDR4, PCIE, AMBA

Estimated length of assignment: 7 months with possible extension
Number of positions available: 2 - 8
Estimated hours per week: 40
% of travel required: 0 - 5%
Telecommuting: Per sponsors approval only, on site majority of time
